Veteran Benefits

The University of Chicago is approved by the Illinois Office of Veterans Education and Training for the administration of VA Education benefits to those eligible.

The University of Chicago is proud to participate in the Yellow Ribbon Program. Any student who participates in the Chapter 33 G.I. Bill program at the 100% tier will have 100% of their tuition and qualifying fees covered through these programs.* The College does not limit the number of students who can participate in Yellow Ribbon in a given year.

Veterans and dependents of veterans may be eligible for one or more of these commonly used benefits:

Veteran Scholars

Dependents of Veterans

Veteran benefits paid on behalf of dependents of veterans are considered a direct parental resource for students and can affect the amount of need-based aid they may receive.

Applying to use Veteran Benefits

Student seeking to use Veteran Education benefits will need to first complete the application process through the Office of Veteran's Affairs. More information on the VA application and to begin the process click here.
